A network at the interface of human and social sciences, biomedical and genetic disciplines physico chemical, geoenvironmental, statistics and mathematics.
The IN-HOPPE Network comprises researchers, doctoral students, research teams at institutions in France and elsewhere involved in some or all of the fields of exploration; it is the expression of their desire to work together.
INED provides coordination via grants and technical and logistical support. Isabelle Séguy leads the Network and assumes scientific responsibility for it.
She is assisted by a Steering Committee that coordinates the lines of research and regulates the scientific activity, and a Scientific Committee that guarantees the quality and reputation of the Network’s activities.
The internal functioning of the Thematic Research Network is subject to published Rules of Procedure.
The populations of the past are studied through textual sources and bioarchaeological archives. Some major themes have been defined and are supported by a cross-methodological axis.
